Cultivar Susceptibility to Olive Knot Disease and Association with Endophytic Microbiota Community

چکیده
Olive knot disease (OKD) induced by the bacterium Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. seriously affects olive production in Mediterranean basin. Nowadays, only strategies to control are pruning and application of cupric products. An essential strategy enhance protection is represented identification resistant cultivars, which represents a crucial opportunity for future investments breeding. We undertook three-year-long survey at International Germplasm Collection “Villa Zagaria” (Sicily, Italy) on thirty-six Sicilian cultivars that were monitored symptom development. Cultivars with different levels susceptibility divided into five clusters. Moreover, order investigate possible interactions endophytic microbial communities, two contrasting susceptibilities, Zaituna (highly resistant) Giarraffa susceptible), selected an amplicon-based metagenomic analysis. Distinct communities colonized suggesting interaction between resident bacterial community pathogen. Significantly higher richness was detected shoots susceptible cv. Giarraffa, although it had lower diversity. The opposite trend observed fungal communities. Among microbes resulted be enriched important underline presence among genera, Alternaria, Neofusicoccum, Epicoccum, Ascochyta, Elsinoe include many species often described as plant pathogens biocontrol agents. Starting from this basic information, new control, breeding resistance integrated management, can envisaged.

Association between Long Noncoding RNA ANRIL Expression Variants and Susceptibility to Coronary Artery Disease
Animal cells possess thousands of long non-coding (lnc) RNAs, such as antisense noncoding RNA in the INK4 locus (ANRIL) , which have regulatory roles in the cells’ molecular mechanisms, including X-chromosome inactivation, and developmental processes. These lnc RNAs are known to influence the extensive spectrum of age-related disorders. Accordingly, there is evidence for the role of...

Association of FCγRIIA (CD32) polymorphism with susceptibility to brucellosis
Background: Brucellosis is the major bacterial zoonoses of global importance caused by Brucella spps. FCγRIIA receptor plays a central role in phagocytosis of IgG2-opsonized bacteria. FCγRIIA exhibits allelic polymorphisms with different capacities for binding IgG2 and phagocytosis. Cells expressing Fc γ RIIa-H131, bind more efficiently to complexes of IgG2 than those expressi...
